PROJECT REDO BEDROOM

One of my very good friends asked me back in October to help her redo her room. How could I say no? We then got right to work. she wanted to have more storage space and an updated look, everything was all fine and dandy until she said she wanted more space in her room. problem was, she had a twin bed sitting along the right wall and now she was getting a queen. it was going to be tight! We where going to make this work!

Before we made any plans, I went onto "Homestlyer" to create a floor plan of her room. Sadly, I do not have that floor plan any more so I will go through the process of everything. 

THE FLOOR PLAN

- Bed in front of the window. 

-night stand right by her bed on the right side. 

- dresser straight across.

The closet door was shot! we thought that we could put up new ones, but the track was so bent and stripped, we could not do anything about it... so I had an idea. lets use curtains! she loved the Idea! 

so here is the after!!!!! (Sorry about the quality of the pictures in advance!!)

the color scheme is light grey, white, light pink, and we cant forget gold!!!
we started by painting the room light grey and the coated the base boards with a fresh coat of white paint to give a clean updated look. 

Most of the room is little project that we did on the side. the photo collage was a project that we took on to update an old frame. the frame was black, and did not go well with the colors in the room. 

Its okay to mix and match golds. just own it!  

We all need a little inspiration in our lives! through out the room there is quotes every were! 

The High curtains give a sense of height to the room. They kind of trick you eye to thinking the room is larger then it is. Tip:having the floor to ceiling curtain behind the bed make it for a smooth transition. I recommend doing this as opposed to shorter curtains. 

In the end, We saw the efforts of our labors! it was amazing what we where able to do! 

This whole process was amazing! 

Also inside of the closet, we organized it galore! This part was not photographed as to give privacy.
